About This Institute

This institute provides an opportunity for staff developers to learn and apply the strategies described in Jim Knight’s Unmistakable Impact: A Partnership Approach to Dramatically Improving Instruction. Participants are asked to bring

• the resources they need to create an important presentation
• a laptop computer loaded with presentation software (either Keynote or PowerPoint).

During the session, participants will learn best practices for

• designing slides and presentations
• vocal delivery
• structuring learning experiences
• writing and telling stories
• facilitating
• keeping audience energy high

To deepen their knowledge, participants will have an opportunity to apply all new learning as they create or recreate an actual presentation they plan to give.
